The human Eye

The human eye has been referred to as the window of the soul. If you are going to establish mood in a picture a great starting point is the eyes.  The first place a viewer is going to look is at the eye to establish story. We look to the eyes to determine if someone is happy, angry, fearful, angry, and every other emotion in between.

In addition since the eye can be used as a system of measurement for the entire face we need to master the anatomy of the eye as a starting point.

Draw the eye below... pause when you need to.

Leonardo Da Vinci

Leonardo Da Vinci was equally artist and engineer. He is a super hero to the imagination because he made dreams a reality.

Started young as an apprentice he created amazing work that stunned master artists such as ...Andrea del Verrocchio

However, no work captured the world's imagination such as this enigmatic Mona Lisa.

This painting not only has been literally stolen, but it has captured the world's attention for it's mastery of artistic skills, and possible mysteries.

Is there a hidden code in Da Vinci's paintings?

The Last Supper...

contains lots of clues of using one of Da Vinci's secrets. Da Vinci was full of his secrets that we are still enthralled with today. Many of these secrets led to great inventions that he kept in his sketchbook. He used his art in sketchbooks as a laboratory for his imagination... How are you using your sketchbook?
